Cinco De Mayo Giveaway
GOALS:
For Cinco de Mayo, Del Real Foods sought a campaign idea that would generate new email subscribers while simultaneously growing their social audiences on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as well as stimulating awareness of the brand in new markets.
STRATEGY:
In order to meet Del Real Foods’ stated goals, Project Bionic crafted a giveaway strategy using ViralSweep, a third party platform which hosts a mobile-friendly landing page with sweepstakes details, giveaway rules, prize information, and means of entry.
We built out the sweepstakes landing page using original photography, creative copy, and graphics, then promoted it on Facebook and Instagram leading up to the Cinco de Mayo holiday. One of the primary benefits of using Viralsweep is that users were encouraged to increase their odds of winning by taking additional actions after entering, such as following Del Real Foods’ social media profiles, sharing the post on their feeds, and referring the giveaway to friends via email. This feature increased entries and extended the campaign beyond the existing fan base, which made it superior to simply holding a sweepstakes directly on the social page.
RESULTS:
Through both post engagement and web conversion campaigns, Project Bionic drove growth of new in-market audiences for Del Real Foods, increased audience size on all three social platforms, grew their email list, and awarded prizes to satisfied entrants which generated user content to be leveraged for future use on behalf of the brand.
